Chocolate brownies are a vice I am not ashamed to admit I use whenever I get the opportunity and these slices of chocolate heaven do the trick every time. Chocolate brownie recipes are often guarded and contain all kinds of special ingredients that make them each families own. Well this is a simple choclate browniue recipe that really does it for me. Hope you enjoy them.
What you need
180g melted butter
330g sugar
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
100g flour
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
The process
Lightly grease a cake tin (20cm square or a variation similar) and line with grease proof paper.
Cream together the sugar, vanilla essence and eggs with an electric beater.
Add flour, baking powder, cocoa and melted butter and mix well on a medium speed.
Pour the mixture into the cake tin and bake in the oven at 180 Celsius for 25 minutes.
Remove it from the oven and let it cool before turning out of the tin.
I more often than not cover it with a thin layer of this chocolate icing and then sprinkle over a little icing sugar.
You can also fold in pecan nuts before pouring into the tin for something a little extra.
It’s easy, quick and satisfies any chocolate craving!
