This is a very quick and easy recipe that will have your guests coming back again and again.
What you need
150g smoked salmon shredded by hand
Cooked Fettuccine for 4
1/2 small onion finely grated
2 tablespoons butter
Palm of fresh basil chopped
Cook the fettuccine al dente, drain and set aside.
In a pan on a medium heat soften the onions in butter, add the salmon and cream and stir until smooth and warm.
Season with a grind of black pepper, add the basil and stir for about 30 seconds.
Pour the sauce over the warm fettuccine in the pot and toss to coat with the sauce.
Serve with some shaved parmesan and crisp French loaf.
