I saw this chocolate Vodka recipe on one of Justin Bonello’s programs and just had to try it. It’s very straight forward and promises both a sugar rush and an kick. It’s a great party shooter but beware, it really does have a serious kick in it.
What you need
1/3 bottle Vodka (still in the bottle)
2 slabs chocolate broken into small pieces (your favorite chocolate, dark, milk or white)
Hot water
Cream
The process
Push the pieces of chocolate into the bottle. Put the lid on and place the bottle into some hot water. Keep adding hot water until the choclate melts. This takes about 10-15 minutes.
Allow to cool or place in the fridge ready for use 🙂
Pour into shot glasses, top off with a little cream and beware, you will want to keep going, they are seriously delicious and you will only know you’ve had too many when it’s too late.
Enjoy responsibly folks.
Hi Graham
Quick silly question, do you serve this warm or cold, and when do you add the cream?
Hi sharon, you just top off the drink with cream, can be served warm or cold, I updated the recipe… must have been suffering the after effects when I typed it 🙂 Cheers for now G
lol, Graham…. I am going to try this one real soon.
oooh this sounds sooooo good….cant wait to taste it..
i just wanna know..i like dark chocolate..but wouldn’t that and vodka taste a bit funny together..o well i guess taste differs..
tnx G
Hi Brigitte, it would just not be as sweet and depending on the % dark choc you use could be a little bitter, give it a go, you could always add a little caster sugar if it’s too bitter Happy days G
Hi Graham,
I just wanted check what type of chocolate to use, i am not sure whether to use milk chocolate or dark choclate with a minimum of 70% cocoa solids.
Thanks
Hi Billy, you can use which ever you prefer, using a dark chocolate adds a certain bitterness which some don’t like so I use milk chocolate, the high sugar content gives max effect. Cheers for now G
We use Brandy instead of vodka for this recipe which we also saw on Justin’s show. We also add milk to ‘tone’ it down a bit. Still gives a kick though!! Great recipe when camping in cold weather.
I’m loving the sound of that Leanne, happy campers indeed! Cheers for now G
This is just bad, something so tasty and we have to be responsible I don’t think so I also saw this show and they seemed to be loving these shooters I think if you going to have this one should have them only at home when not driving. Thanks for the recipe. This is going to become a fast favorite.
They are soooo good and very easy to overdo it… Be warned and have fun…. then call a cab
