Savvy kids menu’s – cooking with children
What makes this book a recommendation of mine is the way in which it helps develop a passion for food and cooking in children. It is so important for children to develop their pallets by tasting and experimenting with flavor and the book introduces them to healthy food that is packed with flavor while getting them involved in the kitchen. What a pleasure… you may just hear “Can I make dinner tonight?”… Worth a try isn’t it?

Get “ZHOOZSH”

This has become my latest favorite recipe book, and although it is quite old, published in 2003, it has some of the simplest and tastiest recipes I have made all year.

This cup cake recipe came from this book and I kid you not, there were the sounds of guzzling and very little being said while there was still a crumb of these little fellas around.

It has fantastic biscuit recipes, including savory biscuits that take just minutes to make. Good old traditional things like steak and kidney pudding, sour dough breads and ciabatta, but for the most part it is a sweets and cakes lovers dream recipe book.

As a gift, you cannot go wrong with this book and its under R400
