We just love prawns and this is one of our favorite recipes. Its very quick and OH so very tasty.
This recipe can be a starter or a main course. For a strater serve as is and just pretty it up with some flat leaf parsley.
As a main course serve it with some basmati rice and a little salad.
You need
2x tablespoons olive oil
1x red chilli, sliced thinly (remember the smaller the chilli the hotter it will be)
6-8 gloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
500g raw shelled prawns (woolworths has great prawns or ask your fishmonger to shell them for you)
salt to taste
The process
Heat the olive oil in a large pan at a medium heat.
Add the chilli and stirfry until it starts to colour.
Add the garlic and stir fry for a few minutes until you smell the garlic. don’t let it go brown.
Throw in the prawns and sear until the red parts turn pink.
Season with the salt and serve immediately.
