Quick barbecue chicken

Quick barbecue chicken

If you want something really quick and tasty and have a barbecue sauce in the cupboard, then this barbecue chicken recipes is for you. Try the smoky barbecue from steers, its great. I make this so often it’s gettingĀ ridiculousĀ but then time has been a bit of an issue lately.

what you need

4 chicken breasts or 8 thighs
Barbecue sauce
1 packet bacon

The process

Heat the oven to 180 celsius.

Pour barbecue sauce into a bowl and cut the bacon into small pieces into the sauce. (Ijust use scissors) Add the chicken pieces and coat the chicken well.

Pour all of the contents of the bowl into an oven proof dish and turn the pieces so the skin faces up.

Bake for about 40 minutes and set aside for 10 minutes before eating to let the juices settle.

You will feel as though you have just had a chicken braai, and we know how that makes us feel! You will make this many many times.

Second faux paus! Smokey Barbeque Sauce is from Woolies and not Steers. The “smoked” flavour defnitely makes a difference and is tastier. I have used both. Phoned Steers Head Office and they advised they do not make Smokey Barbeque. Walked into Woolies and there it was! You are forgiven with all the compliments the second time around what can I say.
