I am a new cook, please can you tell me how you should poach the chicken? I saw this: “Poach chicken in a large pan of simmering water for 6-8 minutes or until almost cooked through and then drain” on another recipe but since it’s for chicken thighs I wasn’t sure I should follow the same directions.
Great site, thanks!
Hi Andra Lee, so glad you are going to try your hand at cooking. Poaching can be done in water or milk and those instructions will serve you well. Enjoy it. Cheers for now G
Hi Graham
Second time I am making this now. Thanks for a very cool web site. This is my new online cookbook.
The best for 2011.

Hi Johan, thanks so much for the vote of confidence. Have a fantastic year, Cheers G
I tried your recipe, but the milk separated. I used fresh chicken. Cannot think what I did wrong, as all the others had great success!
I wanted to serve this as breakfast at my guesthouse.
Sorry to hear that Neel, I can only imagine you added the milk too quickly. It is really important to stir constantly while you add the milk slowly.. Happy new year G
