There are few things that invoke happy childhood memories than those icing topped little buttons of pure joy. Go on indulge yourself.

What you need

150g softened Butter
150g castor sugar
175g self-raising flour
3 eggs
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

The process

Pre-heat the oven to 180C and Line a muffin tin with cup cake papers(makes 12).
Crack the eggs into a cup and beat lightly with a fork.
Place all the ingredients in a large bowl.
Beat with an electric mixer for 2 minutes, until light and creamy.
Divide the mixture evenly between the cake cases.
Bake for 18-20 minutes until risen and firm to touch.
Allow to cool and then the fun begins.

Ice them as decadently as you like, grate chocolate over them, add cherries, whipped cream and strawberries, just go to town and be sure to get the icing all over your lips, you’ll love it.
